PARES&ALVAREZ PARTICIPA EN MISIÓN COMERCIAL A AUSTRALIA

Entre las primeras actividades realizadas por el grupo, Jara destacó la visita a la refinería de SQM y al Centro Integrado de Operaciones Remota de BHP de Western Australia.

Con el objetivo de conocer el ecosistema minero australiano, el 24 de octubre se dio por iniciada, en Perth, la Misión Comercial organizada por la Cámara Chileno Australiana de Comercio (Auscham), Andes METS, Aprimin, Alta Ley y Minnovex, en donde Andrés Jara, gerente comercial de Pares&Alvarez, participa junto a un grupo de ejecutivos de distintas empresas chilenas.

Entre las primeras actividades realizadas por el grupo, Jara destacó la visita a la refinería de SQM y al Centro Integrado de Operaciones Remota de BHP de Western Australia (WAIO, por sus siglas en inglés), el cual integra cuatro centros de procesamiento y cinco minas que se comunican a través de más de 1.000 kilómetros de infraestructura ferroviaria e instalaciones portuarias en la región de Pilbara.

“Esta es nuestra segunda participación en la misión organizada por Auscham y estamos muy contentos de hacerlo. Seguimos pensando que existe una tremenda oportunidad en Australia y específicamente en el estado de Western Australia”, informó Andrés Jara. Agregó, además, que en este segundo proceso ha confirmado que la minería en sigue creciendo con fuerza y que generará oportunidades que la oficina de Pares&Alvarez en Perth espera capturar.

El grupo, además en los dos días en Perth, se reunieron con ejecutivos de Hot Chili, empresa que se encuentra trabajando en la etapa de perforación del proyecto de cobre y oro Costa Fuego, ubicado en las cercanías de Vallenar, en la Región de Atacama, y visitaron Austin Ingenieros, empresa dedicada a la ingeniería y fabricación de equipos para la industria minera.

La misión, que se extenderá hasta el 2 de noviembre y que contó con la colaboración de Austrade, el Gobierno de Victoria y de Queensland, ProChile, el Consejo Empresarial Chile – Australia, Sonami y Sofofa, tiene contemplada, además, una agenda en Sídney, en donde asistirán a la feria Asia-Pacific Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition ICC y a la Conferencia Internacional de Minería y Recursos (IMARC, por sus siglas en inglés), entre otras actividades.

Ximena López, gerente general de Auscham, explicó que “en Sídney tendremos la posibilidad de abordar los desafíos actuales y futuros de las compañías mineras en Australia, conocer proveedores y entender su proceso de internacionalización, buscar partnership de largo plazo, y acercarnos a instituciones del ecosistema que puedan servir de apoyo en innovación”.

Pares&Alvarez joins a trade mission to Australia.

With the aim of getting to know the Australian mining ecosystem, on October 24 began in Perth the Trade Mission organized by the Chilean-Australian Chamber of Commerce (Auscham), Andes METS, Aprimin, Alta Ley and Minnovex, where Andrés Jara, Business Manager of Pares&Alvarez, participates along with a group of executives from different Chilean companies.

Among the first activities conducted by the group, Jara highlighted the visit to the SQM refinery and the BHP Integrated Remote Operations Centre of Western Australia (WAIO), which integrates four processing centers and five mines that communicate through more than 1,000 kilometers of rail infrastructure and port facilities in the Pilbara.

“This is our second participation in the mission organized by Auscham and we are very happy to do so. We continue to think that is a tremendous opportunity in Australia and specifically in Western Australia,” said Andres Jara. He added that in this second process he has confirmed that mining in continues to grow strongly and that it will generate opportunities that Pares&Alvarez’s Perth office hopes to capture.

The group, also during the two days in Perth, met with executives from Hot Chili, a company that is working on the drilling stage of the Costa Fuego copper-gold project, located near Vallenar, in the Atacama Region, and visited Austin Ingenieros, a company dedicated to the engineering and manufacture of equipment for the mining industry.

The mission, which will run until November 2 and had the collaboration of Austrade, the Government of Victoria and Queensland, ProChile, the Chile-Australia Business Council, Sonami and Sofofa, also has a program in Sydney, where they will attend the Asia-Pacific Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition ICC and the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), among other activities.

Ximena López, Auscham CEO, explained that “in Sydney we will have the possibility to address the current and future challenges of mining companies in Australia, meet suppliers and understand their internationalization process, seek long-term partnerships, and approach institutions in the ecosystem that can serve as support in innovation.”
