QME 2026: Pares&Alvarez at the Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition

Pares&Alvarez took part in the Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition (QME) 2026, held from 21 to 23 July at Mackay Showgrounds in Queensland, Australia. With a history spanning more than 30 years, QME is Australia’s largest regional mining and engineering event, bringing together hundreds of suppliers and thousands of professionals from the Australian mining industry.

Alongside an extensive exhibition showcasing mining equipment, technologies and services, the Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition featured a free conference programme covering sustainability and environmental regulation, the future of critical minerals, AI-enabled predictive maintenance, and human leadership in the age of automation. A dedicated session also focused on regulatory certainty to support mining investment in Queensland, featuring the state’s Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Dale Last. During his address, he announced a comprehensive review of the Financial Provisioning Scheme, aimed at reducing barriers to investment while maintaining strong environmental safeguards.
