S03/E03 Engineering for Leaders: Critical Minerals—An Opportunity for Chile?

We will address a key issue for our country’s future development: critical minerals. In a global context marked by the energy transition, geopolitical tensions, and fragile supply chains, Chile holds a strategic advantage due to its vast reserves of copper, lithium, cobalt, and nickel. But how can we transform that wealth into sustainable development and global leadership?

Joining us is Nancy Pérez, a civil engineer with extensive experience in sustainable mining development; she is the director of ENAMI and the current executive director of the Institute of Clean Technologies. Also with us is José Miguel Ortiz, our Mining Development Manager at Pares&Alvarez, who has extensive experience leading strategic projects in the industry.
