With a history spanning more than 30 years, QME is Australia\u2019s largest regional mining and engineering event, bringing together hundreds of suppliers and thousands of professionals from the Australian mining industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside an extensive exhibition showcasing mining equipment, technologies and services, the Queensland Mining &amp; Engineering Exhibition featured a free conference programme covering sustainability and environmental regulation, the future of critical minerals, AI-enabled predictive maintenance, and human leadership in the age of automation. A dedicated session also focused on regulatory certainty to support mining investment in Queensland, featuring the state\u2019s Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Dale Last. During his address, he announced a comprehensive review of the Financial Provisioning Scheme, aimed at reducing barriers to investment while maintaining strong environmental safeguards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">H\u00e9ctor Quezada, Pares&amp;Alvarez\u2019s Country Manager in Australia, attended the exhibition and highlighted the value of this kind of engagement for the company: \u201cTaking part in events such as the Queensland Mining &amp; Engineering Exhibition allows us to connect directly with Queensland\u2019s mining industry, understand its challenges and priorities first-hand, and continue to position Pares&amp;Alvarez as a trusted engineering partner in the Australian market.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Pares&amp;Alvarez, taking part in events like this forms part of its broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the Australian market, where the company has had an office in Perth since 2021.
